Surbhi Arora is a holistic counsellor who works with two core groups: young adults navigating academic, emotional, and identity challenges; and women, particularly mothers, struggling with guilt, perfectionism, and the relentless pressure to hold everything together. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, low mood, academic stress, career indecision, identity and self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, emotional regulation struggles, disordered eating, grief, bereavement, and loss. With a deep understanding of these pivotal life stages, Surbhi is committed to helping her clients move from self-doubt and disconnection toward clarity, confidence, and lasting resilience.

Her journey into this work has been shaped not just by professional training but also by personal experience. As a mother and a working professional, Surbhi understands the emotional toll of juggling multiple roles and the quiet, persistent feeling of not being enough. Through her healing journey, she has come to believe that well-being isn’t about achieving perfect balance but cultivating harmony within and letting go of unrealistic expectations. This philosophy forms the foundation of the safe, compassionate space she offers to her clients.

Surbhi holds a Master’s in Developmental Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology, and a Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her approach is integrative and evidence-informed, blending psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), the Gottman Method, and LGBTQ+ affirming practices, with complementary tools such as Mindfulness, Breathwork, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), Hypnotherapy, Timeline Technology, and Lifestyle and Wellness Coaching. This unique combination allows her to emotionally and physically support clients, promoting mind-body balance and long-term well-being.

With over a decade of experience in education, including eight years as an adjunct faculty member at Singapore Management University (SMU) and her current work as a practicum counsellor at SMU’s MWKLS Wellness Centre, Surbhi has worked extensively with youth and young adults. Her academic research on adolescent resilience and coping strategies informs her therapeutic lens, equipping her with practical insights to help young clients navigate transitions, manage stress, and build inner strength.

Surbhi creates a warm, collaborative environment where both young adults and women feel heard, validated, and supported. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing begins with self-awareness and is sustained through self-trust. She strives to help clients reconnect with themselves, make empowered choices, and build lives rooted in clarity, connection, and emotional freedom.
